Fishing The Cape is a Fly Fishing Shop which provides fly fishing and spin fishing charters in the Chatham - Monomoy area. With many guides available through our fishing operation, we can provide you with a private charter on a flats boat, an exciting trip to the best rips fishing, or a wade guide trip. All of our Orvis endorsed guides have fished for years in the area and know the fishery extremely well. You can fish for striped bass and bluefish throughout the season and perhaps bluefin tuna, bonita, and albies as the season progresses.
Additionally, we run the Hardy Saltwater Fly Fishing School which is held during May, June, and September at the finest resort on Cape Cod - the Chatham Bars Inn located on Shore Road in Chatham. The Saltwater Fly Fishing School is appropriate for all skill levels. Our small group sizes limit the number of students per teacher in order to maximize one-on-one instruction opportunities. Whether you are a novice, have some freshwater experience but no saltwater experience, or you have fished a bit in the salt, we can help you refine your skills.
Our Saltwater Fly Fishing School includes:
Casting for distance
Reading the water
Baitfish imitations and how to match flies to specific baitfish
Saltwater knot tying
Equipment selection and care
Lunch each day
Use of all Hardy and Greys fly fishing equipment and gear

Fishing The Cape has the Cape's premier fly fishing gear store located in West Harwich at the Town Line Plaza at 16 Route 28 in West Harwich near the Harwich/Dennis town line. We stock Sage, Winston, Hardy, Greys, Orvis, Lamson-Waterworks, Temple Fork, Ross, St. Croix, and many other quality fly fishing brands. In addition to fly fishing equipment, we stock Barbour coats and active wear from famous makers such ar Woolrich, Columbia Sportswear, and Simms.
Fishing the Cape is open 7 days a week during the summer and from Monday through Saturday throughout the rest of the year.
