Chatham Remembers

Celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Rescue of the Pendleton
Enjoy an inspiring documentary and panel discussions from Chatham locals sharing stories from the dramatic rescue in 1952

We will be hosting all the CG36500 volunteers, The Orleans Historical Society Board and Staff, representative/s from the Coast Guard, Jim Penn from Puritan Cape Cod plus a group of Chatham residents who were there that day and night who will share their recollections.

There will also be a ceremony honoring those who perished, those who were rescued, and the 3 brave men who risked their lives in the CG36500 to save them. We have invited Sarah Ford Marchio who will play her Highland bagpipes during a brief service and bell ringing.

We will then show an exclusive DVD which was made for The Chatham Historical Society featuring locals who are telling some of their memories of that day and night followed by a discussion of many locals who were there and their accounts of this historic event.

Saturday, February 18th, 3-5 pm
Tickets are $25
