Chatham's Independence Day Parade is one of the oldest in the United States. It attracts over 20,000 spectators and showcases the pride of the community.
This year's Parade Theme: "Chatham Honors You! Service Members Past, Present, Future"
Coming on the 75th anniversary of D-Day, which changed the course of Word War II, the theme honors all men and women who served the country in all wars as well as those who served during peacetime. It recognizes Chatham's contributions to the military - the Marconi Center, Naval Air Base formerly on Eastward Point, the Coast Guard at Chatham Light - as well as the many soldiers, sailors, and airmen and women who served there.
