Creative Arts Center in Chatham, Inc. 39th Festival of the Arts in Chase Park

The 39th Festival of the Arts, sponsored by the Creative Arts Center in Chatham, will start on Friday, August 20th and close on Sunday August 22nd. Chase Park, located on Cross Street in Chatham, will transform into grand avenues of white tents filled with hand crafted items, 10 am – 5pm, rain or shine. In addition to the 115 fine art and craft exhibitors there will also be easel painting, face painting and crafts at the children’s corner from 10 am – 4 pm (nominal fee), a food caterer and an information booth. A suggested donation of $3 can be made at the main entrance on Cross Street. Signs for parking will be posted around the town with additional signage for the Free shuttle bus which will pick-up at the Creative Arts Center on Crowell Road (limited parking) , the Chatham Community Center on Main Street (ample free parking) and the Chatham Elementary School on Depot Road (ample free parking). The Shuttle bus runs a loop from the designated pick-up points to the Festival from 10 am to 5 pm.

Three new exhibitors to the Festival from Cape Cod are Taylor Brown, Fisherman’s Daughter, from Chatham, MA with her new line of organic clothing.; Cynthia Ahern of Chatham with her pastel paintings and Daryl Johnson’s, Centerville, Wind Chimes and sculptures.

Some of the returning Exhibitors from Chatham include, Barn Hill Pottery, Sea Fever Gear, Chatham Wind and Time and Mercy Reed with her wampum jewelry.

One of the Creative Arts Center’s Founders, Roger Harvey will be at the Festival with his new collection of pottery.
