Mastering Your Hormones, Sleep Quality, Memory and Bone Health Unique Women’s Workshop Provides Answers on How To Navigate Through Midlife On four consecutive Tuesday evenings beginning on April 24th, women will have a unique opportunity to learn more about the physiological and emotional changes they face between forty and sixty years of age. Carol Penfield, a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Lifestyle Medicine, and Nancy Samotis, a Psychotherapist and Yoga Instructor who specializes in women’s issues, will present a “Lifestyle Health” workshop.

The workshop will clarify the often-confusing biological factors that cause disruptions in mood, sleep, memory and strength during midlife. Workshop participants will review the evidence based western medicine solutions, as well as other modalities including yoga, exercise, nutrition and emotional strategies. This unified approach will give participants the tools to navigate the inevitable transitions that these twenty years present. This four-week workshop will be held on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm at The Chatham Health Club. Each session will include a thirty-minute educational component to address one of the four main topics, followed by an hour of physical activity to help relieve symptoms and strengthen resiliency. This workshop was created because Penfield and Samotis feel women need support and guidance from sources other than the Internet or a brief medical office visit. It is their aim to provide a broad range of perspectives and skills to improve women’s health and ability to thrive during these prime, midlife years. The fee for this four-week comprehensive clinic is $135. It includes three free passes to the Chatham Health Club and 10% off your first massage with our massage therapist, Joyce Hutchings, RN, RMT. You can reserve your spot by calling the Chatham Health Club at 508-945-3555 or Nancy Samotis, LICSW, RYT at 774-323-0686. You can also email at   or . For more information, go to   or .
