Summer Art Classes at Creative Arts Center in Chatham

Want to stay local for your summer art classes? Then come to the Creative Arts Center in Chatham on Crowell Road. All adult painting and drawing classes start the week of July 7 and run for four weeks.
There is still some room in the following classes: Starting, Monday, July 7,9am – 12 noon, with Maryalice Eizenberg, -Put light in your paintings-Open for all levels working from still-life in oil or acrylic; Tuesday, July 8, 9am -12 noon, with Mary Carroll Allen,-Composing the landscape using your own photos and sketches, work in any medium; Draw Better Paint Better with Robert Mesrop on Tuesday, 1 pm- 3:30 pm starting July 7; Wendy Olin will be holding a watercolor painting and critique class on Wednesday, 1pm – 4pm starting July 23. Susan Williams (Barn Hill Pottery) and Ron Dean are our pottery instructors. There are 3 classes to choose from; Tuesday, July 8, 9am-12 noon, Wednesday, July 9, 9am-12 noon and Thursday, July 10, 6:30-9:30 pm.
There are two jewelry class offerings , one in silversmithing with Terry Cetto on Thursdays starting July 10, 6:30 pm -9:30 pm for 6 sessions and the other is Cabochon Beading with Coletta Moran starting July 17 on Thursdays 10 am – 12 noon for 3 sessions. The Center is very excited about its offerings this summer. For Plein Air Painters, a local favorite, Rosalie Nadeau will be returning to give an outdoor painting workshop in oil, pastel and acrylic starting Monday, June 30- Thursday July 3.
