The Marconi/RCA Wireless Museum, in partnership with the Atwood House & Museum, will be hosting its second annual Free Locals Day. On May 11, if you or any person in your group has a Cape Cod driver's license, the whole party can visit the Atwood House & Museum and the Marconi/RCA Wireless Museum free of charge. The Museum can take up to two hours to explore, but you are always able to spend as much time as you wish.
Free Locals Day is an opportunity for us to thank our community by offering free admission and an opportunity to see what the Museum has in store for the 2019 summer season. There are several refreshed exhibits and a special display marking the Centennial of the formation of Radio Corporation of America. It's a little-known fact that Chatham was one of only 5 properties that comprised RCA on its first day of operation in 1919. RCA was central to America's 20th Century dominance in radio, and operated Chatham Radio WCC for much of that period.
We are proud to be collaborating with the Atwood House again this year. Bring your family and friends and spread the word about this event. Local people. Local museums. Local fun.
