We love Cape Cod for its sandy beaches, hidden freshwater jewels and scenic beauty. Health and longevity of these living resources, however, are at risk. Nevertheless, there are thoughtful actions we each can take to be better stewards of our piece of Cape Cod and to insure that the Cape we love is protected today and for future generations.
Loving Cape Cod – A Conservation View will be an informative lecture given by the esteemed Kristin Andres. Kristin Andres is the Director of Education & Outreach for the Association to Preserve Cape Cod. Before joining APCC as a staff member, she worked for the town of Chatham as its first Conservation Agent for more than 15 years. Her position with the town included her work with various civic organizations and town committees related to natural resource protection.
Kristin serves on several boards and committees, including the Ecological Landscape Alliance, Chatham Friends of Trees, Friends of Sylvan Gardens, Senior Environmental Corps and the Chatham South Coastal Harbor Plan Committee. She is the regional liaison for Grow Native Massachusetts and an honorary trustee of the Chatham Conservation Foundation. She writes a biweekly column for the Cape Cod Chronicle on topics of ecology and the environment.
Tickets are available at the door. Doors open at 1:15 pm and seating is limited.
