Megan Dowd Lambert will present the Whole Book Approach to reading picture books with children
Megan Dowd Lambert, award-winning author, reviewer, blogger and Senior Lecturer at Simmons University, will present the Whole Book Approach to reading picture books with children on Wednesday, June 12th at 2:30. Developed by Ms. Lambert in association with The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art, the Whole Book Approach is a co-constructive, dialogic approach to reading with children, rather than reading to them.
This unique workshop welcomes parents, teachers, grandparents, caregivers and children’s lit enthusiasts who want to make the most of shared reading times while celebrating the picture book as a visual art form. No registration is required for this event.
Ms. Lambert’s presentation is brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. Books will be available for purchase and autographing thanks to Where the Sidewalk Ends.
