    About Us

Under new professional management this year, The Carriage House Inn, formerly the Captain Isaac H. Loveland Homestead (built c.1850), has been beautifully transformed blending spacious manicured grounds, period antique furnishings, graceful interiors, beautifully appointed guestrooms with private baths, and personalized concierge services to ensure an exceptional visit to the Cape. Enjoy the wonderfully detailed rooms in the main house with sun decks and easy access to the lovely period furnished dining room and living room, or relax in the large carriage house rooms beside your fireplace and enjoy the classic Adirondack chairs in your private garden.

Recent extensive renovations at the Inn include a spacious rooftop deck (with an ocean peek above the stately neighboring homes), a new breakfast sunroom with private seating, and a gorgeous outdoor breakfast patio. Our king and queen guestrooms now include individual climate controls, luxury bedding, spa robes, exclusive Parisian bath amenities, local Chatham welcome chocolates, flat screen TVs, and new high-speed complimentary Wi-Fi and newspapers.

Our signature amenity features artisan multi-course breakfasts and afternoon tea and pastries prepared and artfully presented by Professional Chef and Co-Owner Peter Varns inspired by locally sourced foods of the Cape region. You won’t want to miss Chef Peter’s cooking school weekends in the off season either! Our cuisine truly is a highlight for our Guests.
