Wayside Inn Donates $10,000 to Monomoy Community Services for Tools of the Trade
Local Inn donates money to organization for cancelled fundraiser
Chatham, Mass: Every year, the Wayside Inn and Wild Goose Tavern, located at 512 Main Street, host one of Monomoy Community Services’ largest fundraisers Tools of the Trade. However, this year the event which celebrates the local service industry through raffles, auctions, food and fun, was cancelled due to the Corona Virus outbreak. In lieu of hosting the event, the Wayside Inn and owners David and Gail Oppenheim and Shane Coughlin donated $10,000 to Monomoy Community Services. The Wayside has partnered with Monomoy for several years.
“We urge people who were going to the event to continue to support Monomoy,” said Wayside Inn partner Shane Coughlin. “The need is now more than ever.”
Monomoy Community Services is a local family resource center for the town of Chatham. They provide childcare, social services and financial support.
