About Cape Rep Theatre’s Summer Outdoor Theater Season
    Noises Off
    By Michael Frayn
    Directed by Maura Hanlon
    July 7 - August 21
Wednesday - Saturday at 7 pm
What better way to come back to live theater than with a play about…live theater! Our 36th Season kicks off on July 7th with everyone’s favorite comedy, Noises Off, by Michael Frayn.

It’s the final dress rehearsal and our intrepid theater company is desperately trying to put the finishing touches on their production of the British romp, Nothing On. Will they remember their lines for the opening night that is just hours away?  Will the showmances within the company derail them? Does anyone have a clue what’s going on? And for goodness sake, don’t anyone say “break-a-leg!” because it might just happen!
Theatrical shenanigans, comic chaos, and lots and lots of sardines.
The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane
adapted by Dwayne Hartford from the award-winning book by Kate DiCamillo
    Directed by Maura Hanlon
    August 24 - August 29
Tuesday - Sunday at 7 pm
Edward Tulane is a vain porcelain rabbit, more concerned with his wardrobe than the affection of Abilene, the little girl who loves him. Lost overboard on a trip abroad, Edward begins a 20-year journey to learn what it means to love, the pain of losing that love, and the courage it takes to love again. This beautiful theatrical adaptation of Kate DiCamillo’s award-winning tale is ensemble storytelling at its best.
A brand new play for children by local playwright Holly Erin McCarthy featuring her new character, Maya Mouse!
