In "Contained!" you will make a whimsical floral arrangement in pottery, glass, wood or even an unusual container of your choice. The hands-on event will be led by floral expert Sonny Gada. Pre-registration is required as attendance is limited to 10.
The event is a part of the Caleb Nickerson Homestead’s Hands-On-History program. The c. 1829 homestead is located at 1107 Orleans Road, North Chatham and is open for tours on Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Sept. 27.
Sonny, who lives in Chatham, has been a floral designer and horticulturist for over 50 years. His floral arrangements have been featured in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts annual event “Art in Bloom.” A teacher and lecturer, Sonny brings a unique approach to floral arranging, approaching it as an art, and using all of nature as his palette.
