About the Chamber

Incorporated in 1942 as a successor to the Chatham Board of Trade, the Chatham Chamber of Commerce, with its more than four hundred members, is dedicated to blending the interests of the business community with those of Town Government, as well as Chatham’s residents and many seasonal visitors. We are especially proud of Chatham — its wonderful heritage and its natural beauty — and our members, each of whom continually strives to keep and preserve what we are fortunate to have here. Among our many programs are the following:

A Visitor Information Center is located in the Town-owned David T. Bassett
House, 2377 Main Street, at the intersection of Routes 28 and 137 in
South Chatham. Telephone 800-715-5567 or 508-945-5199 EXT 10.
E-mail or visit the Website.

Our mailing address is:  Chatham Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 793, Chatham, MA  02633

The seasonal Visitor Information Booth, 533 Main Street, next to the Town Office, is under the supervision of the Chamber of Commerce and is maintained by the Town of Chatham. During the vacation season more than 35,000 visitors take advantage of its facilities.

The Chatham Merchants Association, a branch of the Chamber of Commerce, is an active group of retailers and other business managers who direct certain special events in Chatham. Among the key accomplishments of the Merchants Association are December’s Christmas by the Sea and the charitable Angel Fund (Ginny Nickerson), Main Street Christmas Stroll, Easter Egg Hunt, Sharks in the Park, Pumpkin People in the Park, Oktoberfest.

The Chatham Lodging Association, a branch of the Chamber of Commerce, is an active group comprised of Chatham’s accommodation providers dedicated to ensure our guests a wide spectrum of quality options. The Association participates in a variety of town betterment programs including the popular Historic Inn Tour.

The mission of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce is to be an advocate for our local businesses, to support our membership with value added services, and to contribute to the success of our community.
