Betsy Hunt - Vice President
Betsy graduated Chatham High class of 1981. She worked off and on in Chatham most of her life and is now very pleased to be opening her own business in Chatham on April 12th, 2007. She worked for the Pampered Palate for 4 years as the catering manager and is now assuming the role of owner. She loves to ice skate competitively. She has a wonderful husband, Richard who also grew up in Chatham, and who is very excited about being the new owner of the Palate. She has a 14 year old daughter who goes to Harwich High and is a really great kid. This business will be a definitely family affair. She loves to cook and cater and is happy to have finally found her true "calling".
Carrie Leonard - Treasurer
Carrie, a Cape Cod native born and raised on Cape Cod, attended Nauset High School and has been employed at the Cape Cod Five since graduation in 1987. In 1995 she attended Babson College under the Massachusetts Bankers’ Association two-year program for the Massachusetts School for Financial Studies where she graduated the following year. On a personal note, Carrie and her husband Matthew were married in 1995 and have two sons, Maxwell and Luke. Carrie, Matthew and sons currently reside in Orleans.
Kevin C. Smith, DDS - Secretary
Kevin Smith has been practicing General Dentistry adjacent to the North Chatham Post Office since 2002. New patients are always welcome for urgent or regular care. Kevin previously had a private dental practice for 20 years in Downtown Washington, D.C. A Long Island native, Kevin has degrees from the University of Notre Dame and Georgetown University, and first visited Chatham in 1967. Kevin and Elise have two children, Ryan and Lissy, and reside in Riverbay. Kevin has been Chatham Chamber Secretary since October 2007.
Edward McDonald Jr – Director
Edward McDonald is presently a counselor of SCORE (Service Corp of Retired Executives) here on Cape Cod. He is also a member of both the MassMedic Medical Device Industry Council and the Board of Advisory - MD International - Medial Device Distribution – Latin America. His education degrees include Boston Latin School, Wentworth Institute, Northeastern University and the Harvard Graduate School of Business. Ed is married with 6 children and enjoys golf, financial planning, antique autos and carpentry.
Bruce Zeller - Director
Bruce is a Massachusetts native who grew up on the South Shore. After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts,he spent the next nine years in the retail business working at department store chains such as Macy’s and the May Company. From 1981 through 1999, he worked in various capacities for Home Box Office (HBO). From 1985 through 1998 he was vice president and general manager for HBO’s Mid-West sales and marketing operations based out of Chicago. In 1999, he was managing director for HBO’s business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2002, Bruce purchased Fishing the Cape in East Harwich in partnership with his wife, Ruth. They now own two fly fishing stores; the Orvis Saltwater Fly Fishing School based at the Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham, and provide private guided fishing opportunities for spin and fly fishermen out of Chatham and Harwich.

Ralph Nixon - Director
Ralph is currently the owner/manager of Prestige Home Building of Chatham, LLC which he runs with the assistance of his wife Cheryl. Although relatively new to the business on the Cape, he has been building homes for over a decade and comes from a building family that dates back to his grandfathers firm Arthur Oman & Sons, formed in the early 1900's. Ralph has been exclusively building homes for the past six years in Chatham. Prestige is currently building homes at the site of the former Dolphin Inn on Main Street Chatham. The Nixon's have lived full time in Chatham for the past fourteen years and summered here for nearly forty.
Ralph was formerly in the investment and banking business for over thirty years. He was the President of Liberty Securities Corp. of Boston, a national broker dealer and part of the Liberty Financial Services Co. for fifteen years. Ralph was in the banking business early in his financial services career.
Ralph has served on the boards of the Arts Foundation of the Cape & Islands, the Chatham Rotary Club and is currently on the board of the Cape & Islands United Way, the Maritime Museum; a Corporator of Heritage Museum and Gardens as well as the Chatham Chamber board. "Giving back to our communities is the greatest challenge we all have and much of the time the most rewarding", Ralph said. Cheryl is on the board of the American Cancer Society here on the Cape.
Ralph and Cheryl have two married daughters: Kristin and Amy, who live in Wellesley and Duluth Ga. with their husbands and children.
