How to Update Hours on GMB (Google Business Profile)

GMB is the old name. Now it is Google Business Profile. It shows on Google Search and Google Maps. If your hours are wrong, people may come at the wrong time.

What you need

• The Google account that owns the profile
• Your real hours for each day (Mon–Sun)

Tip: If you do not see edit tools, you may not have access.

How to update hours on GMB on Google Search (computer)

1. Sign in to Google.
2. Search your business name.
3. Find your Business Profile panel.
4. Click Edit profile.
5. Click Hours.
6. Set your hours for each day.
7. Click Save.

If you are closed on a day, set it to Closed.

How to update hours on GMB in Google Maps (phone)

1. Open Google Maps.
2. Sign in to the right Google account.
3. Open your Business Profile.
4. Tap Edit profile.
5. Tap Business information.
6. Tap Hours.
7. Update each day.
8. Tap Save.

Add holiday hours (special hours)

Use special hours for holidays, events, or one-time changes.

1. Open your Business Profile on Search or Maps.
2. Go to Hours.
3. Find Special hours.
4. Add a date.
5. Set the hours (or choose Closed).
6. Save.

Small tip: Even if you are open like normal, add the holiday hours. It helps people trust the info. 

Quick fixes for common problems

• No “Edit profile” button: You may not be an owner or manager. Ask the owner to add you. 
• Your change does not show: Some edits can be reviewed before they show. Check again later. 
• You cannot edit key info: Some changes may need a verified profile first.
