Art in the Park 2026 Returns to Kate Gould Park
Get ready for another unforgettable summer as Art in the Park 2026 returns to Kate Gould Park in the heart of Chatham! Hosted by the Chatham Chamber of Commerce & Merchants Association, this beloved annual event transforms the park into Cape Cod’s largest outdoor art show—featuring beautifully designed whales and sharks created by talented local artists.
From June 16 through August 14, 2026, visitors and residents alike can stroll through downtown Chatham and enjoy this vibrant public art display.

Oars (for the Oars in the Stores Scavenger Hunt) are available to Chamber members only for $75
The whales, sharks, and oars will be distributed on March 4, 2026, from 5:15–6:15 PM at the Chatham Marconi Maritime Center (847 Orleans Road, North Chatham).
Important Artist & Sponsor Information
Artwork will be photographed on June 5 and June 8 (8:30–9:00 AM) behind Simpler Pleasures on Main Street. Please note that artwork will be collected at this time and must be fully completed and properly sealed before arrival.
Each whale and shark will be auctioned on Bidding for Good at the close of the display.

50% of the sale price goes directly to the artist

The remaining proceeds, after expenses, support local charities and Chamber events
Once installed, all artwork becomes property of the Chatham Chamber of Commerce and Merchants Association and may not be removed.
Artists must submit a completed 2026 W-9 before installation in order to receive proceeds from the auction.
A Community Collaboration
Art in the Park 2026 will once again partner with the Center for Coastal Studies and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy to provide educational information alongside the art display. This collaboration enhances the experience by celebrating both creativity and coastal conservation.
