Where to Shop
Chatham offers an exceptional number of unique shops to whet your appetite for that “special” purchase. Whether you’re seeking an unusual souvenir, a T-shirt, fine art for your home or a 25th anniversary “jewel” for that someone special, you’re sure to find it at one of our many shops.
Not just for visitors anymore, Chatham has become a destination for browsers and buyers alike, from throughout Cape Cod and beyond.
In Chatham's town center, you'll find nearly one mile of unique shopping that everyone will enjoy.
On Main Street, the best way to get around is on foot. Start at either side of Main Street where you will find many fine shops and restaurants. Further along you'll find galleries full of work by local artists, depicting life on The Cape in watercolor, oil, sculpture and more. Traditional techniques like scrimshaw, pottery and weaving are alive and well in Chatham, and practiced by local artisans. You'll also find nautical antiques, jewelry, clothing for men, women and kids, sports memorabilia, as well as gifts, novelties, toys, specialty foods, and more.
There are three large parking lots, two public restrooms, and no parking meters! When you're through, stop in one of our many restaurants or take a leisurely walk or drive to Chatham Lighthouse and enjoy the breathtaking view of beautiful Lighthouse Beach. Parking at the lighthouse is limited to maximum 30 minutes.
